Ethical practice

We regularly review our practices and invite feedback from our workforce, authors, readers, and broader community on ways we can improve.

Fingerprint Editions commits to encouraging equality, diversity and inclusion in the workplace and throughout our activities as they are good practice and make business sense. We aim to create a working environment free of bullying, harassment, victimisation and unlawful discrimination, promoting dignity and respect for all, and where individual differences and the contributions of all are recognised and valued.

We offer a library of digital books for those short of funds.

Sustainability

The following outlines our sustainability goals and the steps we are taking to be environmentally and ethically responsible.

We offer digital formats (eBooks, audiobooks, PDFs) to reduce the use of resource-heavy physical products.

We offer print copies that use recycled or FSC-certified paper where possible; are produced by printers who share our values; are print-on-demand to reduce overstocking; use non-toxic inks where possible.

We minimize office waste - reduce packaging, reuse materials, recycle and use energy-efficient equipment where possible. We will organise meetings online  to reduce travel and favour digital communication and digital booksubmissions to reduce paper use.

We choose to work with partners (suppliers, printers, and collaborators) who have the same core values as ourselves. And we will support local and independent creators to reduce our carbon footprint and develop community resilience.
